Bold Bubble Pony

I am always down to try new hairstyles and different things. Going onlin for ideas is always a good thing. You can find out interesting, new and easy hair do's and be able to re-create it. I found this hair do that I think is really cool, and a little different.
Here are the steps to completing this different style.

Step 1: Apply a texturizing cream all over, then slick back hair into a ponytail. Secure tightly with an elastic.

Step 2: Tease your entire pony with a rattail comb — this will give it the body to create the big bubbles.
Step 3: Take an elastic and wrap it around the center of the ponytail, then wrap another elastic 3 inches from the ends. Fluff out the hair in-between the elastics to create the bubble shape.

Bumpits

I'm sure you have all heard of the infamous bumpits. I despise them. I think they are really weird and they totally make your hair look weird. They also make it look so easy on the infomercial, but its not that easy, and most likely you won't have enough hair to cover up that big piece of plastic on the top of your head.

Personally I hate them and have never worn one nor had the need to wear one. I can do my hair just like that, not that I do, all on my own. I think that in a way they are really tacky.

Does anyone know of anyone who uses a bumpit, and if so, what do you think of them?

Phunky Phresh

A couple of weeks ago my sorority had a crush party as we like to call it. The theme of this crush party was a rave. Now if you have ever seen pictures for raves they are out of control. You can basically wear whatever you want as long as it is crazy and bright colored. They key to looking like a true "raver" is to wear lots of glow in the dark sticks and necklaces, and bracelettes too.

There were several things that I did to make my outfit complete. The main things were my hair and makeup. i teased my hair a lot that night to get it to the level of poof that I wanted. I was really satisfied with the outcome though. The other part that I was realyl excited about was my makeup. I did it very loud and wild, but it went perfectly with my outfit for the party.

I'm not sure about anyone else, but I absolutely LOVE doing my self up for events and parties. I think it is so much fun and exciting that I am able to do new and different things. Does anyone else get joy out of stuff like this?

Lip Liner

Lining the lips creates subtle definition and perfects the shape of the lips. When looking for the proper color to get, you must first consider the natural color of your lips. You want to get as close to your color as possible. When the color you have selected is on your lips, the lipstick shade that you use will not bleed into the little crevaces on your skin. It it will also help with the application of your lipstick.

Remembering to blot is always good, you don't want to be looking like your great Aunt Susie with bright red lipstick on your teeth when you smile!

Fake Lashes

The cat is out and has been out of the bag for a while. Almost all celebrities wear fake eyelashes on a day to day basis. The look of the long, thick eyelashes has been in for quite some time now. The good thing about them is that they can be trimmed in width or length to fit anyone's eyes and they are quick and easy to apply. I say that they are easy to apply, but many people struggle. The key is being patient.

I am a huge fan of fake eyelashes. Although I have only worn them a handful of times, (most of the times were for Halloween) I can't resist how they look. They seem to brighten the look of a face and draw attention to the eyes. There are several that are very outrageous and are worn with costumes, but they can also help people who have very thin eyelashes or none at all.

I think I am going to start wearing them more often, I wonder what people would think about that?

To Crimp or not to Crimp

When I was young a received a Conair hair device that had plates that were interchangeable. There was one that made your hair straight, one that put litle crimps in your hair, and another that made bigger more wave like crimps in your hair. I was so excited about! A couple years later crimping came back in the picture.

I think that longer hair especially looks really pretty when it is crimped. The best way that I have found to make your hair crimpy is by wetting it or showering at night. Before you go to bed braid your hair, preferrably french braids but any kind of braid will do the trick, and sleep on them. When you wake up in the morning if they are not completely dry yet dry on a low heat with a blow dryer. When you take out the braid your hair is perfectly and evenly crimped.

I usually spritz it with some hairspray and go on with my day. Pulling it back in a half pony-tail also works well.

Crazy Colored Talons

Have you ever tried a nail color that was either really extreme just one that you wouldn't normally wear on a day to day basis? Trends these days are pointing to just that; crazy colors.

As a young girl I had a lot of different nail polish colors. And by a lot I mean about two shoe boxes filled with all different color nail polishes. I had every color you could ever imagine. From blue to orange and even to black. The trends today seem to be blues and silver or gray colors. I personally do not believe that I can pull those colors off, but when I see it on other girls I think they look good.

I also feel that if you go and pay to have them done in a color such as blue or silver or gray, that they tend to look better. Those colors are hard to pull off, but if they are done perfectly they look best.
